In depth

Verdict

An interesting opener featuring several promising types. Global Citizen has beaten small fields in a maiden point and a bumper but this is a lot more competitive. Enniscoffey Oscar had smart bumper form but was easy to back on his hurdling debut and only managed fourth. On The Blind Side and New Quay are points winners who have joined top NH yards but we'll take a chance on PERFECT HARMONY. Unlucky in his sole run between the flags, he won a bumper at Newbury in January and then ran at the Cheltenham Festival - there should be more to come. Aye Aye Charlie should enjoy today's step up in trip.
