Alan King continues to have his runners in good form and can take this with Kahrayn, while Latanier and Petito look the strongest in opposition. Kahrayn has been going the right way in both bumpers and novices' hurdles so far, handles any ground with good in the description, and has the look of a horse that has been kept back until the start of the new season to give him a second bite at the cherry as a novice. His last run at Doncaster against Lease Lend was a good performance in context and this step up in trip, if anything, will be a plus. Latanier has shown some good form over shorter trips and was 15 lengths adrift of last week's Punchestown winner I Hear A Symphony when last seen out. However, he would definitely prefer softer ground and so is opposed. Petito has been running on softer surfaces, but acted well enough on good on the flat, so should not be inconvenienced. The query over him is his ability to stay this far, so we will take him on. Cashel Blue is another respected opponent with some decent form in context, but would probably prefer cut, and we will take Kahrayn to score.
