Verdict
CHAMPAGNE MYSTERY suffered an unfortunate experience on his debut under Rules being carried out by a loose horse when holding a clear lead at Aintree. He was then outpaced on the run-in at Market Rasen by an ex-Flat horse but is sure to be suited by this step up in distance and cane make the most of the 6lb her receives from Chez Hans, who was a lucky winner at Leicester in December. Kootenay River has won a point-to-point and placed in two bumpers but he’s been a big disappointment over hurdles so far, though has had wind surgery since last seen.
