      Verdict

Ted Bach was given a canny ride by Paddy Brennan to win over a longer trip at Fontwell but doesn’t appeal as the type to follow up off a 5lb higher mark. Duc Kauto was pulled up at Huntingdon after winning at Plumpton and The Major suffered a similar fate at Taunton. Ifandabut beat Micras, Kahdian and Vanderbilt at Exeter but is 7lb higher now while the going is likely to be too quick for Stolberg. PASSING DREAM was below par at Taunton last time but looks to have solid claims on earlier efforts at Chepstow and Uttoxeter so gets the vote.
