Verdict

With the ground apparently against King Ozzy, we will side with FESTIVAL DREAMS, while Minnie Hill is an interesting runner. The selection has won two of his last three starts, both being over similar trips to this, during what was a very promising spring. He does have fitness to prove here and there is the possibility that he might need the run, but he acts with cut and looks worth chancing from a mark 6lbs higher than his most recent win. King Ozzy is an obvious leading player here on form, but all his best efforts have been on a sound surface and with going concerns he is worth opposing. Minnie Hill was coming along nicely until she came a cropper at Uttoxeter in May, after which Victor Dartnall decided to put her away until today. She acts with cut in the ground and should be very effective over this trip, though while the yard is not in bad form, it has not had a winner for a little while now. Bring It On Home will enjoy getting his toe in as he did when winning a Stratford seller, though this is more competitive and he might struggle. Blue Dark has shown a liking for soft ground and is dropped back to what may well be a more suitable trip here. With the King yard going well he might be capable of going close, but with little else appealing on what we have seen so far, we'll take Festival Dreams to score.
