Former Lennie Lungo inmate Triggerman can build on his Worcester reappearance and go well here, but VICO is likely to be plenty straight enough for his debut under rules and is preferred. Paul Nicholls does well at this track, and Vico, an Old Vic gelding, should relish this rain-softened ground. His dam was a winner over this trip over hurdles, and being from the family of 1985 Grand National winner Last Suspect, he looks sure to get plenty further in time. He'll be well schooled and can score first time. Triggerman was placed to win a bumper when with the Lungo stable and was then not seen until his first run for Philip Hobbs in a 2m 4f maiden hurdle at Worcester. He should be better for this slightly longer trip and some cut in the ground, so he is much respected. Midnight Appeal has been brought along patiently by Alan King and his future looks to lie over fences, although he could show more over the smaller obstacles now stepped up to this distance. Molanna View looks a real stayer in-the-making and would appear, from pedigree at least, to be the pick of Emma Lavelle's pair, while Holmwood Legend has laid the foundations for a win at some point, although he does have a bit to prove after last time. This can be victory for Vico.
