Though successful in an all-weather maiden and a bumper, the former Nicky Henderson-trained Bardd has had plenty of chances over hurdles. Milldean Silva had little to beat in a mares’ bumper at Southwell in July having shown only modest form previously but Thistle Do Nicely still has time on his side. SOUTHFIELD TORR will undoubtedly do better over further and over fences as he’s a half-brother to three useful staying chasers but he may still have the pace for this. Looks Frozen is preferred to the exposed Marettimo of the others.
