Verdict

OUR POWER showed signs of inexperience behind Rocket Ronnie at Kempton but still shaped with promise and a line through the winner suggests he might have the beating of Atholl Street. Jacamar’s form figures are flattering as he’s finished last in both starts so far over fences but there are definite possibilities about Kakamora, who was very progressive over timber last season, and Striking A Pose, a smooth winner of a decent contest at Exeter on his fencing bow. Midnight Midge is the most exposed and a pound out of the handicap.

Kakamora 5-4fav (10-13) Held up behind leaders, went 2nd 3 out, ridden before 2 out, driven to lead before last where slightly awkward, always doing enough late on, won at Perth 2m 4f hcp (3) gd in Apr beating Good Boy Bobby (11-12) by 5 1/2l, 6 ran.
