Verdict

SERIENSCHOCK (NAP) has been threatening to win a decent handicap and made the frame again at Wetherby a fortnight ago when not far behind Join The Clan. This looks slightly easier and Kieron Edgar's 5lb allowance further helps his cause. Southfield Vic was outclassed in a tough handicap at Cheltenham last time but had won nicely at Taunton earlier while Sporting Boy has also been keeping better company since scoring here in November and could figure. A big hike in the weights for earlier wins proved beyond Hawkhill and Letemego last time so Themanfrom Minella is preferred on his recent fourth at Leicester.
