In depth

Verdict

A very tricky race with some poor horses present. TEAMtalk preference goes to Asian Persuasion who is the best rated of those who have race on the Flat and put in a pleasing effort on his hurdling debut at Stratford on fast ground in July. She showed up well for a long way next time out before being eased down when beaten. Fit from a recent run on the level he should go well. Ashton Vale has shown signs of ability and ran well last time out at Chepstow. He should give the selection most to do. Beasley showed little promise on the Flat and his future may lie over further in time. Dancing Dolphin did fairly well on her debut over hurdles and should progress without being good enough to win this contest.
