Mawsem has won a couple of bumpers and was third on his debut over hurdles at Ludlow in November. George Baker's five-year-old is certainly open to improvement and seems sure to be thereabouts in this. But we'll take a chance that SUNLEY PEACE's second to Gibb River over C&D last month was an indication that this formerly useful stayer on the Flat has fully recovered from injury. If that's the case, Gary Moore's seven-year-old will take all the beating. Sea Change didn't show a great deal on his introduction to hurdling at Sandown but now wears blinkers and did win on the all-weather last year. The fact that Tom Scudamore has chosen him ahead of the more experienced Street Entertainer suggests he is open to improvement.
