Following a promising debut outing over hurdles when beaten by the narrowest possible margin by Bonikos at Huntingdon in November, it was a disappointing effort by David Arbuthnot's Bob Run at Chepstow on his latest start in March and he now looks best watched in a race taken to go to BOOMTOWN KAT, who is preferred to Now Listen To Me. The last mentioned was the lesser fancied of two Paul Nicholls runners on his hurdling debut at Chepstow when last seen in November and he ran promisingly, as he had done on his only start in a bumper, until weakening three out. The son of Slip Anchor should appreciate the longer trip today but he would need to improve on what we have seen from him so far to trouble the judge. Stable companion Penyfan Dawn won his bumper at Taunton well enough but with Ruby Walsh partnering Now Listen To Me, he looks the lesser fancied of the Nicholls pair. Viking Affair has shown moderate promise in bumpers and looks best watched on his hurdling debut. Seattle Storm was a capable performer on the flat for David Elsworth and could be of interest first time up over hurdles but preference is for Boomtown Kat. Karen George's gelding has run well in his last two starts and a reproduction of form shown in those races may well suffice.
