John Gosden's JESSE JAMES is likely to be in warm order for this maiden and the colt looks to have solid claims ahead of Eye For The Girls with Stravella among several newcomers who could be anything. The selection carries the familiar colours of Princess Haya of Jordan and has gone close on his last two starts. The form from his last run should join the lines from his penultimate start in working out well and unless any of the newcomers prove special he should take all the beating. Eye For The Girls looked mildly progressive in his second start, a Newbury maiden on soft, but so far the form is yet to work out from the contest and a big improvement will be needed to score. Eastern Empire also has some race experience and again looked to progress when placing in a strong looking Kempton maiden last time that has produced three subsequent winners and a continuation on that upward curve would make him interesting. Stravella and Maria Nunziata have pedigrees to suggest they will win races but looked to have it all to do on debut to beat Jesse James.
