Verdict
The consistent Even More can come good at the expense of Joe Deane, Majed and Bob's The Business in tonight's feature race. Robert Alner's nine-year-old has found one too good on each of his last two starts, here and at Exeter, but earlier successes at Kempton show that he has plenty of ability, and he does not look overburdened. Joe Deane has struggled just a bit since his Plumpton victory in January, but Tom George's team are in fair form at present and he should go well. Bob's The Business is lightly raced of late but at the age of ten has less scope than most, and of more appeal is Majed, the mount of Tony McCoy. The Paul Nicholls inmate is not one to trust completely, but there is no doubt that he is far better treated these days than when taking on top staying company for Martin Pipe. Just lately he has threatened to return to winning ways and this is the sort of company in which he could do it. His stable collected this last year with Un Jour A Vassy. However, we return to Even More, a most reliable sort, as the selection.
