Verdict

Findusatgorcombe was a huge price on his return to action at Exeter but rallied to land the spoils and is reunited here with Bryony Frost, though this looks a tight handicap. Marble Moon wasn’t disgraced in his hat-trick bid at Ludlow but gave the impression that the handicapper is in charge now. Bermeo is proving very consistent and Coopers Square, who improved last season, made a very encouraging reappearance at Uttoxeter. Cesar Et Rosalie win his fair share and stable companion Fingerontheswitch narrowly failed to justify favouritism at Wetherby, though this is a lot more competitive. Air Navigator was third over almost 3m at Newbury in March and is worth another try over a longer trip but more interesting are Copperhead and EL PRESENTE (NAP). Both were jumping fences for the first time on their reappearances but the latter fared best with a fourth in what is turning out to be a hot race at Huntingdon and the extra yardage shouldn’t be a problem.
