In depth

Verdict

Roschal looks the obvious choice here and is given the vote over My Lady Link and General Grey. Most of these are not the most reliable of performers, but the selection doesn't often run a bad race. He has been successful twice this season and put in another good performance when chasing home Gan Eagla at Ludlow last time. He still looks on a decent mark and looks the safest proposition. Venetia Williams trains Gan Eagla so she should have a good line of form as regards the selection. She runs both My Lady Link and Triggerlino. The latter is is very modest so it could be left to My Lady Link to give Roschal most to think about. She finished third behind Zaffaran Express last time out and as she is lightly raced, she could be capable of more. General Grey was second in a much better race than this last time and will be hard to keep out of the places despite top-weight. Hill Forts Henry looks best of the remainder, but Roschal has the best recent form and looks the one to be on.
