A good course and distance effort last time from Berengario makes him our choice for this weak event, Greensmith Lane and Lord Lington may provide most danger. The selection was in fact successful here last November, but had shown very little afterwards before chasing home Doctor Wood last time. He is still a little high in the weights, but against mainly out of form opponents he must hold strong claims. Lord Lington was pulled up after whipping round at the start last time at Exeter. However his previous second behind Jack's Craic makes good reading and he would go close with a repeat of that effort. Greensmith Lane has earned top-weight but has been a bit disappointing recently. If he runs up to his best he should be capable of running into a place. Robyn Alexander looks best of the remainder, but Berengario saves his best efforts for this track and is taken to oblige.
