Coolefind can prove too good for Red Brook Lad in the first hunter-chase of the season, with Trade Off and No Retreat others worth a mention. The key to this event may be what transpired at a recent Larkhill point-to-point meeting at which both Coolefind and Red Brook Lad were successful. Red Brook Lad achieved the feat in a slightly faster time than Coolefind, but the latter did it with a stone-and-a-half more on his back, and so off level weights here, must be fancied to come out on top. Trade Off was third to Coolefind at Larkhill so looks held, but it will not be long before Sally Alner places him to good effect, while No Retreat's finest hour came in a Grade 2 chase here for Steve Brookshaw, but that was seven years ago. All in all, at the age of eight, Coolefind can make a name for himself in this sphere and can pay to follow today under Stuart Morris.
