Western Island was gaining the first success of a 25-run career when landing a poor Clonmel handicap last month and is not guaranteed to repeat the performance after an 8lb rise in the weights. COOLHARBOUR BREEZE ran very well behind Undertheboardwalk here in June, however, and looks set to gain her third victory over fences. Island Peak has been going well and will have found 2m1f too short last time. He's on the short-list along with Judge Roy Bean, who ran his best race for some time at Kilbeggan last month and is blinkered for the first time. But Close Review, twice a winner between the flags, was made favourite at Limerick after a cracking run on quick ground over this C&D but ran very poorly and will need to do much better.
