    Verdict

Our Delboy makes his handicap debut after a much-improved third at Newcastle. G'day Aussie was third in a higher grade last time at Fakenham but Charmant isn’t really progressing and was easily brushed aside in a three-runner race at Carlisle on his latest start. Manwell shot up the weights after winning at Uttoxeter in December and has struggled to cope since. MONFASS (NAP) was ridden with plenty of confidence by Lorcan Murtagh at Doncaster and was always holding the runner-up, despite the winning margin. He looks capable of better on only his fifth start over timber. Focaccia is even less exposed but has been done no favours by the handicapper.
