Verdict

Ancient Times would have been the choice on the back of progressive late winter and early spring efforts but he delivered a laboured run last time on returning from a seven-week break. Perhaps looking for positive market vibes is the best way to assess his chance here. Tweedo Paradiso has enough weight for achievements to date but the Golan gelding does give the impression that he's more to offer and could well get competitive, as should the consistent Bunratty for the Sayer team which is going well at present. The choice falls upon SHAKER STYLE as Barry Murtagh's charge seems pretty well treated off a mark of 77. The Gulch gelding has been there or thereabouts on recent starts and is a possible improver with just six runs over timber to his name.
