Verdict

Another tricky handicap to unravel with CANDLEFORD, who has scope for further progress, taken to supplement a pleasing Hexham performance when always controlling a three mile good ground handicap. The Vettori gelding emerged a convincing victor and could be good enough to handle the 11lb hike he's received as a result. Don't Be Late rates a similarly progressive sort and should also have more to offer after just a quartet of hurdling starts. He too has received hefty punishment for a recent success - a surprising 15lb for landing an ordinary Worcester hurdle. Settledoutofcourt is considered off the lowest handicap perch whilst Picks Milan comes into handicap company for the first time off what looks a high enough mark. However, he's an interesting sort and mustn't be discounted, likewise the consistent Get Home Now.
