SASHENKA was running well over hurdles and on the Flat in the first half of the year. Only beaten a neck at Hereford after a break, she wasn’t disgraced in a higher grade at Cheltenham subsequently and sets a decent standard in this. Ballybough Mary was disappointing on her hurdles bow and the penalised Just Jess didn’t beat much at Hexham but Shighness won a bumper here last month and Galia Des Liteaux could be anything having won a maiden point by six lengths in October before switching to the Skelton yard.
