Verdict

Only five run here but it should prove to be a competitive handicap none the less and our selection goes to course and distance winner MANBOW who should have no problems getting the better of Our Jasper and Benny The Piler. The gelding, who is a course regular was second when running over course and distance last time out. That was his first outing for four months and he should have come on a great deal. He has won over course and distance here in the past and he looks capable of repeating that victory today. Our Jasper has been running well this year without finding a win. He runs 8lbs higher than when last winning and that appears to be hampering progress. He can make the frame here today on a course that has served him well in the past. Benny The Piler was in great form last year until a couple of dismal efforts but and end to his year. He returns here today though and should have put those mistakes behind him. If he can return to his form of early last year then he should at least make the money. Cash Man will need to find some consistency if he is to progress. He was a winner a couple of outings ago, but turned in ninth of nine at the last time of asking. Mandingo Chief will need to improve on past form and will need to put in a career best effort if he is to figure here. The selection here goes to Manbow.
