        Verdict

        Intalza had shown promise before gaining a surprise victory on soft ground at Redcar and, providing the going doesn't firm up, there's no reason why she shouldn't get involved again. Simply Clever has been running well at Chelmsford but was well beaten on her only start on Turf last summer. Tricky Dicky made a successful handicap debut on heavy going at Redcar but couldn't quite handle a 7lb rise on faster going at Thirsk. The front-runner Miramonte Dancer hasn't been able to respond when passed in the closing stages but has only run five times and should still have scope to do better. Mango Chutney pulled much too hard at Ripon and was soon done with but he's much better than that though this can go to FINE EXAMPLE (NAP). Kevin Ryan's charge has been crying out for this trip having finished strongly over 7f on his two starts so far this season.
