Verdict
KINGS BAYONET showed improved form when stepped up to this trip at Ascot. Runner-up Kruzhlin has already franked the form and Alan King's five-year-old can double up here ahead of Speed Steed, who won at Towcester in March but was beaten when favourite for a handicap at Ffos Las next time and was found wanting when tried over 2m4f in Ireland last year. Lowry Maher is starting to look exposed and Walser needs to improve on his recent second at Sedgefield but Well Sharp is interesting on his hurdles bow as J P McManus paid 250,000gns for the dual Flat winner at the October sales and will be expecting some return on his investment.
