Verdict
Mr Aitch is our pick with Spiritual Society and Monseiur the alternatives. Mr Aitch hasnt seen too much action over hurdles and he probably needed his recent outing at the course in April. With the cobwebs blown off and plenty of questions for the others to answer, Richard Phillips' inmate is worth a speculative punt in a race that has been starved of numbers. Spiritual Society won a handicap chase off a mark of 92 at Southwell. With no steeplechases at Wetherby, he is forced over the smaller obstacles this afternoon. Trainer, Neil Mulholland has recently got off the mark. Monsieur has had plenty of chances and he does not appear too straight forward at best. It is debatable as to whether a small field will play to his strengths or not. Primus Inter Pares and Desert Rat are question marks on the likely going. Wally Wonder is much higher rated over chase fences than hurdles and Ferdy Murphy attempts to take advantage. We prefer Mr Aitch.
