Sea Storm deserves to get his head in front having been placed in each of his last two starts but James Moffatt's 11-year-old may be a shade high in the weights for his debut in a handicap and a better bet looks to be WESTSTERN, who is preferred to Crazy Bold. Tony Carroll's gelding was good value for his success in a novices' handicap at Ludlow last week and he has to be respected under a 7lb penalty today but he may find this coming too soon. Lucinda Russell's Storm Prospect ran better at Kelso last time and has every chance off the same mark again today. Micky Hammond's Farne Island has run creditably on the flat of late and returns to hurdles on a fair mark so he is another to be respected, while Ameeq has not won for some time and probably needs some help from the handicapper. In a competitive contest, the vote goes to Gary Moore's Weststern who was value for more than the half length that he won by at Wincanton last time and he is taken to defy the 7lb rise in the weights for that success.
