Verdict

Nicky Henderson puts up an amateur, who scored on Barber's Shop for the stable on Friday, on the progressive Loose Preformer, who followed his Leicester victory with a virtual walkover at Doncaster where his only opponent pulled up. Strongbows Legend has gone up a massive 20lb since scoring at Hereford but Mac Aeda won here in December and doesn't look too badly treated. Brunswick Gold has taken some time to find his feet over fences but came good at Catterick and can make his presence felt. Jaunty Journey needs a thorough test of stamina so any rain would help his cause but Hopeful Start has been raised 14lb for his recent C&D success though he's still much higher over hurdles. David Pipe tries ALDERLUCK in blinkers for the first time and they can have the desired effect as though his recent form is poor he's dropped in the weights accordingly and has been competing at a much higher level.
