Dark Ruler has placed three times this season but has never looked like winning and connections now try the top weight in cheekpieces. Magic Dragon sprang a surprise last time at Sedgefield but it remains to be seen if he progresses again to defy a 5lb rise. Debrouillard is unexposed, progressive and making his handicap debut on a feasible mark so has to go on the short-list but the market will probably tell us all we need to know about the returning Rodeo Dodo and this will probably be too far for Classic Seniority. BRIGADIER BOB (NAP) has more chance of staying this trip here than last time at Ffos Las, where the ground was very testing. He’s not been rushed this season but should be cherry-ripe now.
