Ellerslie George can benefit from this longer trip to open his account over fences, with Like A Lord seen as his only serious rival. Ellerslie George was always highly thought of by his previous trainer Tom Tate, who managed to squeeze one win over hurdles out of him. Then, after a couple of outings over fences this May, the gelding was purchased by Graham Wylie as part of his ever growing team, and it appears as though they have found a soft race for him to make an immediate impact in. If anywhere near fit after his summer break, the son of Presenting should prove too strong for this lot, the best of whom should be Like A Lord. He will at least like the trip according to his trainer who describes him as a nice horse in her stable tour. He might be nice, but that will not be enough to stop Ellerslie George from prevailing. The rest are best watched.
