In depth

Verdict

The presence of Latensaani looks to have frightened off a number of the five-day acceptors and George Moore's charge is anticipated to post another good effort today. The form of his Sedgefield victory has been upheld by the subsequent victories of Whitaside and Fifteen Reds and he is therefore given the TEAMtalk nod. Ferrets Hill won a soft ground bumper before coming unstuck in higher grade at Kempton. He has subsequently left Nicky Henderson to join Ferdy Murphy. The Murphy string have only just begun to get going and if any moisture has got into the track overnight, he should be watched in the market. Similar comments apply to Iceberge. He did nothing wrong in his bumpers at Haydock and Warwick, and the step up in trip should suit. Flash of Memory was a fair performer in bumpers for Richard Fahey. He is fit from the flat and could go well at big odds for fledgling trainer Peter Niven. Grattan Lodge is held on official figures.
