Kidithou won at Kelso earlier in the month in the manner of a horse who had been laid out to run up a sequence and he can complete a hat trick here, with Heavenly Chorus, Bright Sparky and Aviation others for the short list. The Richard Guest-trained selection carries a 7lb penalty here for his latest Fakenham success but looks capable of seeing off this largely exposed set of rivals. He handles a sound surface well, and has won with something in hand on his last two starts, and although this trip is shorter he can set his own pace if his pilot feels that he wants to bring stamina more into play. Heavenly Chorus won over a similar trip at Southwell last time but had to work hard for it. Although there may be more to come it did not look to be a race to get too excited about. Bright Sparky is in decent form and will doubtless run another good race here but the ground looks to be too quick to see him at his best, while Aviation has top weight to contend with an although he is respected again the ground may need to be a little slower before his next win, so we prefer Kidithou to go in again.
