Verdict

The disappointing Champagnesuperover finished tailed off when Erne River made a winning start over fences at Doncaster. Nick Kent’s charge has been lightly raced so has bags of scope but Nicky Richards seems determined to find a race for UNCLE ALASTAIR and Brian Hughes keeps faith with the even-less-exposed 10-year-old, who was second in a decent handicap at Carlisle in December. Irish raider Antey looks the pick of the remainder.
