In depth

Verdict

Pay The Piper has a fitness advantage having made a fine start over fences when beaten three lengths by Minella Trump, who was receiving 10lb, at Perth. A winner between the flags and three-times over hurdles, he's up against a similar type in THIRD TIME LUCKI but the latter may have the most scope of the pair. A dual bumper winner and three-times successful over timber, he wasn't beaten far in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham behind Belfast Banter and ran well behind that winner in a Grade 1 novices' hurdle at Aintree. The four-year-old Hardy Du Seuil has an immaculate jumping pedigree and gets an age allowance. He has his first start for new connections after an impressive victory on testing ground at Fontainebleau in February.
