Verdict

OAKLEY’s only poor run last season came when tackling a longer trip at Taunton. He might still be a couple of pounds too high but should give supporters a run for their money in this if fully primed. Fransham is a real course specialist and a sixth victory at the track can’t be ruled out after an encouraging return to action when only beaten a neck. Risk D'Argent also has to go on the shortlist making his handicap debut from the foot of the weights but Too Friendly possibly hasn’t quite scaled the heights anticipated and is running against older horses for the first time. Homme Public ended last season with a victory at Newcastle and Issam won twice in France, though is having a first run for new connections.
