Verdict

A winner over 2m on the Flat at Newcastle in August, The Churchill Lad made a successful start to his hurdling career at Cartmel and should give a good account again under his penalty but Vintage Valley weakened quickly at Sedgefield once headed. HIGHLAND FROLIC, trained on the level by the Gosdens, has joined an up-and-coming NH yard and will almost certainly know what’s required today.
