SHAWAAMEKH (NAP) continued his improvement when second over 7f here on his reappearance – the third has won since and the extra furlong shouldn’t be problem for Declan Carroll’s lightly-raced five-year-old. Vive La Difference is starting to look well treated but needs to rediscover his best form. The fact that Ocala is still in training suggests Andrew Balding thinks the filly capable of winning races but Dubai Acclaim is best on the all-weather. Zodiakos was a close second at Hamilton two days ago but Equidae’s win in an amateurs’ race at Southwell doesn’t amount to much.
