GLENARY is the tentative selection to win this handicap hurdle after a winning seasonal debut for which he is now 10lb higher. Formerly trained by Henry Daly, Glenary was forced to race from 4lb out of the handicap at Aintree but that proved no inconvenience to Sue Smith's charge who galloped on resolutely. Testing conditions seem to be key to Glenary's chances and today's conditions will be in his favour. Dangers to Glenary include Nothingbutthetruth, Kentucky Boy and Harrison's Star. The first mentioned was set a stiff task in contesting an introductory hurdle following his maiden success achieved on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter. Kentucky Boy made a pleasing return to hurdling last time out, staying on to take the runner-up spot behind the progressive Dan Buoy. The three year old Harrison's Flyer might be vulnerable on this ground given the fact this is as long a trip as he has tackled. Any market confidence behind the Tim Easterby pair of Bridging Loan and Admiral Savannah should be noted but Glenary is selected to win it.
