Colby made a promising start when third in a maiden at Musselburgh in November and should again beat eighth-placed Wor Verge. But there will be plenty of interest in the Oscar newcomer UP TO NO GOOD, who is a half-brother to the stable’s smart hurdler/chaser Keeper Hill, successful in a Market Rasen bumper on his racecourse debut. Baby Ted is another debutant likely to win races as his stable has a good strike-rate in bumpers and he’s a half-brother to three winning hurdlers, including Grade 2 winner Colin’s Sister. Lucky Lucarno clipped heels and came down at Sedgefield last month but looked beaten at the time.
