In depth

Verdict

This won’t take much winning and Rose Dobbin’s pair are likely to be prominent in the betting and the race itself. Smuggler's Stash and Cant Pay Wont Pay are both partnered by 7lb claimers but the former has more potential than the latter and was taking on much better opposition at Carlisle last time after an earlier second at Hexham. Tommie O’Brien can’t claim in this but his mount CARQALIN still warrants support as he was in contention at this trip over further last time at Wincanton when clearly not getting home. The Bishop pops up now and again but looks held by Smuggler's Stash on the form book and Joseph Mercer has yet to hit form this season.
