Tango Boy's close second at Newbury in January signalled better to come this season and he reappeared to land a course and distance handicap in October. Harry Du Berlais was beaten narrowly on his chasing debut at Bangor in April and returned to action with a battling success at Market Rasen last month for which he's only up 2lb. Mackelduff, twice a winner over hurdles, found 2m5f too short on his chasing debut at Hereford while Godrevy Point was being rousted along when falling on his first start over fences at Stratford. Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler HOMETOWN HERO was only third of four on his chasing bow at Aintree but ran a race full of promise and looks the type to make good progress.
