Proud Archi is in the veteran stage but the six-times winner has won after a long break and is just 4lb higher than his last victory. But TAMASKA (NAP) won four times last summer, all on fast ground. He caught the eye on his reappearance at Doncaster and looks the one to beat. Rum Runner finished two lengths in front of him on Town Moor but the selection looked more in need of the run and can reverse the form. Harvest Day has managed to win seven races but is better at a lower level these days and a bigger threat may emerge from Mutanaaseq, who wasn't beaten far in a Class 3 handicap at Redcar last time.
Mutanaaseq (IRE) 18-1 (8-3) In rear, ridden under 3f out, kept on from 1f out, never near to challenge, 4th of 11, 3 1/2l behind Il Bandito (9-1) at Redcar 7f hcp (3) gs in Apr.
Proud Archi (IRE) 9-2 (9-9) Held up, pushed along under 3f out, some headway when short of room over 2f out, kept on steadily from over 1f out, 4th of 11, 7 1/2l behind Yukon Mission (9-9) at Pontefract 6f hcp (5) sft in Oct.
Tamaska 7-2 (9-5) Mid-division on far side, ridden and outpaced approaching final furlong, stayed on well towards finish, 4th of 10, 2 1/4l behind Foreseeable Future (8-2) at Doncaster 7f hcp (5) gf in Apr.
True Mason 22-1 (9-6) Dwelt in rear, never on terms, 9th of 15, 3 1/4l behind Langholm (9-2) at Thirsk 7f hcp (6) gd in Apr.
Harvest Day 13-2 (9-5) Dwelt towards rear, ridden and headway 2f out, kept on same pace, 5th of 13, 5l behind Pallas Lord (9-6) at Redcar 7f hcp (6) sft in Apr.
