The well-bred Dundiclou gets the vote over Final Veto, with Spare Me, Nortelco and Treacle Moon likely to be involved. Alan Swinbank won the corresponding event 12 months ago with Alfie Flits, and if this fellow, in the same ownership, turns out half as good then connections will be mighty pleased. He is by Benny The Dip out of a full-sister to Dancing Brave, so has a touch of class and should handle the softish going. Final Veto has the benefit of an outing at Huntingdon where he was fourth to Fintan. That entitles him to be in the shake-up at least, and he is just preferred to Nortelco. Newcomers Spare Me, Treacle Moon and Southern Exit are all worth noting for the future, but for now the vibes are strong regarding Dundiclou who is the pick to go in first time.
