Surricate can beat her older rivals including the likes of General Hardi, Nicozetto and Ever So Slightly. This should not take too much winning, and after going close on a couple of occasions, the time is right for Surricate to come good. Ferdy Murphy's four-year-old mare has come off second best on both visits to Hexham, but the margin of defeat has been narrow, and now that she has fully settled in since coming over from France, looks all set to make her handicap debut a winning one. She did a nice piece of work on Ferdy's Euorotrack gallop on Friday morning and is fancied to get the losses back. General Hardi was a fairly useful bumper performer and shaped well on his return over hurdles at Kelso, but has been given topweight here and has to be opposed, but Nicozetto was outclassed at Aintree last time and will be more at home in this grade. Ever So Slightly has looked one-paced so far and has a future over fences, so we shall remain loyal to Surricate.
