Verdict

Keeper Hill made a winning start in a bumper at Market Rasen in November and Betameche followed suit when scoring at Newcastle on his racecourse debut. The four-year-old Sam Spinner also won at the first time of asking when successful at Catterick but all of the above are conceding weight to CAPTAIN MOIRETTE (NAP). The latter has been placed in both starts so far, including a third over track and trip last month, and can reverse earlier running with Sam Spinner on better terms. The newcomer Mortens Leam is related to three winners over hurdles and may prove best of the rest.
