    Verdict

    Voy Por Ustedes secures the nod ahead of Cornish Sett. Alan King's team are in top order at the moment and this talented hurdler was a very decent winner of a Plumpton Novice Chase. Any overnight rain would not be a problem to him and as he has the four-year-old's allowance - he is in receipt of lumps of weight from Cornish Sett. Cornish Sett is the benchmark for this race. Officially rated 137, he has had a few names called about him in the past but those alleged quirks don't appear to have surfaced this year. Medison won the Imperial Cup at Sandown last year. The presence of Timmy Murphy ensures that we have no Racing Demon to watch this afternoon. This is very much a baptism of fire for the Pipe horse and things have not been made easy by the yard's current predicament. Royal Hector was a progressive handicap hurdler last term. The official figures suggest that he might have a bit to do whereas the formbook suggests that he might find it happening all a bit quick over two miles. Voy Por Ustedes is recommended.
