The none-too-consistent It's Music can beat an equally poor bunch, with Lantern Lad, Jaoka du Gord and Semi Precious seen as the main dangers. This is an awful betting medium in which to be truthful, nothing at all makes any appeal, but if pressed to pick one then It's Music is saddled with the vote. Martin Pipe's charge looked beaten when falling three out at Exeter last time and so the drop back in trip should be in his favour at least. Still to open his account for the stable, the six-year-old was only a fair third at Newton Abbot the time before when fitted with blinkers for the first time. That was the first time that Timmy Murphy had sat on him and with him taking over again, he will at least get a decent ride. Lantern Lad was tailed off at Hereford but has a light weight, while Jaoka du Gord has been pulled up on his last two starts. Semi Precious was probably unlucky in running in a much better affair at Newbury last time, and a look back reveals that he was driven out to score at Hereford in November. It really is a poor race though with the word consistent not coming into it. Keep your wager to the minimum and go for It's Music.
