Benrajah has disappointed on his last two runs and while his stable remain in good form at present he takes a step into unchartered territory here in both the distance and the ground and may be worth opposing. Another yard in good form is that of Ian Williams and his representative Norvin gets the vote here. The six-year-old is a beautifully bred son of Nashwan who was in the process of running a big race on his hurdling debut at Huntingdon when attempting to run out and unseating his rider at the final flight. His luck changed at Warwick last time when left clear at the second last after he had started to idle. He looks a horse with ability who although is regarded to make a better chaser in time, can continue to make his mark over hurdles. Storm A Brewing has not built on his bumper form since going over hurdles and is best watched. Ewar Bold is thoroughly exposed at the age of 10 while another veteran, Blazing Batman may also find things happening a bit too quick but has been running soundly enough to suggest a place is not out of the question.
