    Verdict

Cybele Eria has never lived up to her undoubted ability and proved very difficult to win with over hurdles only ever scoring on the one occasion. A poor chasing debut was followed last time by a far better effort when chasing home a useful sort at Ludlow and that showed that she clearly has the ability to win a race like this. She is not one to get carried away with but she did jump well last time and is the one to beat. Island Sound has raced against some useful typed over fences including the Arkle hero Azertyuiop but he has generally disappointed and looks far from a natural over fences. If his jumping does not brush up soon then connections may have to look at returning him to hurdles. Boss Royal fell on his chasing debut and is another who has to prove himself over the larger obstacles while the remainder look a poor bunch effectively reducing this to a two horse race.
